*Royal Canin Recovery Liquid* is a veterinary recovery diet for sick dogs and cats who can’t eat normally.

*What it’s used for*

It’s a high-energy, highly digestible liquid food given when pets have:

- *Anorexia / not eating* after surgery, illness

- *Tube feeding* - it’s designed to go through feeding tubes and syringes

- *GI issues, pancreatitis, kidney disease, cancer* recovery

- *Post-op recovery* when they need lots of calories but can’t chew

*Key features*

- *Very high energy*: ∼1.0 kcal/ml. Small amounts give lots of calories

- *High protein + electrolytes*: Helps muscle and recovery

- *Ultra digestible*: Easy on the stomach

- *Liquid texture*: Can be fed orally with syringe, by tube, or even warmed and lapped

- *Veterinary only*: Not sold for healthy pets. Meant for short-term use under a vet

*How it’s given*

1. *Syringe feeding*: 5-10ml at a time, slowly into the side of the mouth

2. *Feeding tube*: Nasogastric, esophagostomy tubes etc.

3. *As food*: Warm slightly and offer in a bowl if the pet can lap

Your vet will calculate the exact ml/day based on your pet’s weight and condition.

*Important notes*

- *Prescription diet* - you’ll need a vet to prescribe it in Pakistan. Available at most big vet clinics / pet hospitals in Rawalpindi & Islamabad

- *Not for long term*: Once the pet starts eating normal food, you switch back

- *Storage*: Shake well. Once opened, keep refrigerated and use within 24h
